DIY flowers with pistachio shells

Next time think twice before throwing away your leftover pistachio shells. You could use them for umpteen of DIYs ! One among them are these Flowers.

My husband couldn’t even figure out they were made of pistachio shells until I told him!

Making these flowers is definitely a cake walk.

All you will need is:

  • A piece of cardboard
  • A Glue gun
  • Some Pistachio shells
  • Acrylic paints

Let’s get started!

  1. Clean the pistachio shells well.
  2. Cut a piece of cardboard into a 2-2.5 inches circle.
  3. Take 2 even sized shells and stick them together and then glue it at the center of the circle.
  4. Go on gluing shells around this one by one.

This is how it looks on completion!

You can leave them as it is or play with colors of your choice. I painted mine with fucshia and now it looks like a lotus!

With so many festivals coming along, we can include them for various kinds of decoration. Also you could use them in your home decor, as gift toppers or as a decoration in your craft works. All you have to do is play with your imagination!

Also I realized they bear so much resemblance to these succulents I photographed some days back! Only got to be painted similarly!

“Imagination is the soil that brings dreams to life.”

Happy Crafting !!! 🙂
